Newborn Session
These pictures are best taken when the baby is between 7 and 21 days old because babies still sleep very soundly. Safety, peace, warmth, hygiene, and the well-being of your child are central during the photoshoot. My preference is for natural poses and soft colors and materials.
You can also be photographed as a family. Older brothers and sisters are also welcome! If you want to use the photos on a birth announcement card, I will make sure that you receive the first digital photo file within 48 hours after the photoshoot.
At Velveteen Photography it is of course the intention that the parents and the little miracle feel completely at ease. I use different backgrounds, wicker baskets, soft blankets, knitted hats, wooden bowls, hair bands, and more accessories. You choose the colors and accessories that you like and you can possibly bring a cuddly toy or a blanket that we can use during the shoot. We take plenty of time for a Newborn photoshoot because it is important that the baby sleeps, remains relaxed, and can be changed, fed, and cuddled by the mother/father present in between shots. I like to start the photoshoot around the time when the baby is being fed so that the baby can go to sleep relaxed afterward. During the photoshoot, there is of course the possibility for the parents to sit there with tea or coffee and a snack.
The baby will be placed in a number of different decors while he or she is sleeping. Often the little ones continue to sleep, but if they wake up, we take pictures with our eyes open or we take the time to get the little one back to sleep. To conclude the photoshoot, we can also take a number of family portraits with the parents and/or brothers and sisters.
The cost for the photoshoot is $225, including post-processing of the photos. After the photoshoot, you will receive a full gallery of HD digital photos from an online gallery with 15-30 edited photos. You will receive the chosen photos in color and black and white along with getting them all on a USB. I can also travel to you for an additional price!
You will receive the digital files without a logo/watermark so that you can have unlimited prints. I keep my prices affordable and your prints will be of the highest quality! The files are large enough, for example, a beautiful canvas or a photo on wood. Book the photoshoot during your pregnancy & use the Newborn photos on the birth announcement!
